Platinum Garlic is a cross of GMO Cookies and Platinum OG Kush. Oddly enough, both parent strains are Indica-dominant, but crossing them yields a 50/50 Sativa/Indica hybrid.

Appearance

Platinum Garlic has a very attractive appearance, with dark green undertones and orange leaves. It also has white, frosty trichomes scattered throughout.

Aroma

This strain partly gets its name from the strong garlic odor it generates. The scent is very garlicky and herbal and easy to notice, even before you start smoking it.

Taste

The flavor of Platinum Garlic is similar to the way it smells, although it’s not quite as pungent or potent. Instead, it has a light and spicy taste with sage and herbal afternotes.

Terpenes

This strain has three dominant terpenes:

Caryophyllene – This terpene is present in black pepper, cloves, and cinnamon. Caryophyllene also acts as a cannabinoid that can trigger and regulate the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS).

Myrcene – This terpene is the most abundant in cannabis, and it’s partly what gives Platinum Garlic its distinct aroma and flavor. Myrcene is also present in thyme, mango, and lemongrass.

Terpinolene – This terpene is far less present than myrcene, but it can have positive and uplifting results. Terpinolene is present in lilacs, cumin, and nutmeg.
