Women in Cannabis Are Thriving, But Still Face Challenges
Between 2019 and 2023, the number of female executives in the cannabis industry rose from 22 to 39 percent, which is an impressive jump. However, women continue to face significant challenges and inequalities in cannabis, from accessing leadership positions to securing funding for their ventures.
Despite their essential roles in shaping the industry’s growth and innovation, women are often underrepresented in executive positions and boardrooms. Moreover, women-owned cannabis businesses struggle to access the same level of funding and investment opportunities as their male counterparts.

Kiva Confections
Kiva is one of the most recognized names when it comes to the best edibles in Massachusetts. And, not surprisingly, Kiva Confections was founded by a cannabis-loving woman and her husband.
