Things to Do for Halloween in 2025

Albany, New York
- Eerie Albany Historic Ghost Tour: This 90-minute tour of Downtown Albany promises historic chills and unearthed secrets. Learn more about the city with spine-tingling real-life mysteries.
- Stanton’s Feura Farms: This family-owned farm hosts their Halloween Fest Weekend on October 25-26. Bring the kids for some family-friendly fun!
- Trick or Trot Pumpkin Run 5K: Head to Washington Park on October 25 for a 5k through a haunted course full of decorations, treats, and family-friendly entertainment!

Lake George, New York
- Fright Fest at Six Flags: Ready to scream your way through haunted roller coasters and chilling live shows? Head to Six Flags for their Fright Fest nights!
- Haunted Factory Chocolate Session: Head to Barkeater Chocolates for a terrifying tour, but be warned…this event is rated PG-13 for its horrifying tales.

Saratoga Springs, New York
- Great Pumpkin Challenge: Sign up to run a 5k, 10k, or kids’ fun run at the 25th Annual Great Pumpkin Challenge! You’ll also enjoy a costume contest and pumpkin decorating for a day filled with family fun.
- Double M’s Haunted Hayrides: With over three decades of experience serving up screams, Double M’s is one hayride you won’t want to miss this Halloween season.

- The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow: Catch the classically spooky take as told by the Puppet Showplace Theater crew.

- 13 Nights at Jiminy: Head to this thrilling haunted house experience and get a hair-raising scare. (Recommended for ages 10 and up.)

- Harvest Festival: Pie baking, live music, and a dog costume parade. It’s all on offer at the Park McCullough Mansion on October 23, so bring the family and stop by.

- 13th World Fright Park: With four haunted houses on site, you’re guaranteed to scream all night long at 13th World Fright Park! Those 18 and up can add a “Touch of Fear,” allowing interactive experiences with the monsters.

Berwick, Maine
- Trunk N Treat in Memorial Park: Head to Memorial Park on October 26 for treats, a photo booth, and a ghostly trail. This family-friendly event is in its 17th year!

Portland, Maine
- Hoot & Howl: The Children’s Museum and Theater hosts Hoot & Howl, an all-ages, family-friendly Halloween event with activities and themed museum exhibits.
- Ghoul of Rock: Join the Maine Academy of Modern Music for an unforgettable performance (costumes encouraged!)
