Things to do in the area

Nestled on the border between New Hampshire and Maine, Berwick is a great place to visit from Newington. There’s a lot to do in this scenic town, from enjoying entertainment at Hackmatack Playhouse to attending the annual Maine Open Farm Day on the fourth Sunday of July each year.

Getting here from Newington

It will take you about 24 minutes to drive the 15 miles from Newington to Berwick – just take NH-16 North. Be sure to bring toll money, as this part of the roadway has tolls.

Along the way, you can hop off in Dover to explore the Woodman Museum or grab some food at Newick’s Lobster House. You can also do a little shopping at the Goodwill Store: Somersworth or Walmart.
